I started my day with 45 minutes of pilates. As I finished, Keldor got up and reported that the bed frame, which has been having issues for months, split even worse than it had been, and he wanted to try fixing it again.

The previous splits were higher up in the board, and not as deep. The last time we had fixed it we had added an extra board to the outside of the frame, completely covering the crack, but this time it split below that extra board, and completely through, so the corner of the bed sags.

I am ready to give up on this frame, take everything that lives under the bed out from there, and just put the mattress on the floor till we move to the upstairs room we are creating, and make a new frame then. But Keldor is stubborn enough he wants to see if he can fix it, so we spread a good layer of glue, and glued it together, again.

By the time we had finished that Charlotte had woken and come up stairs, so we sat at the table over breakfast for a while before I sat down to the computer and worked on the web page for our upcoming JMBards event in March.. Once I was happy with the web page and with the registration page, which is now ready to use (and will automatically open for registration on Christmas Eve) I sent an email to the Crown Princes to invite them, and then composed this ad for the Drachenwald Group:

Hej Drachenwald! Do you enjoy good food and bardic performance? Have you always wanted to travel north to see the Northern Lights? Have we got an event for you! This year Reendarda’s traditional spring event, Jungfru Maria bebådelsegille is being combined with the 10th annual Bard of the Northern Lights (Norrskensbard) contest. March has long been the peak time for Northern Lights tourist trips to northern Sweden, so why not combine the trip with visiting an event or two? The weekend before the Shire of Gyllengran is hosting their WoW event (War or Weaving), so those of you with time for adventure could travel up to Sundsvall for that event, spend the week enjoying adventures in northern Sweden (and hopefully see the northern lights, clouds willing) before continuing on to JMBards in Lövånger (about 5 hours driving time north of Sundsvall). Crash space available here in Lövånger. just let me know if you want to come visit!

This evening we were going to head out to a friend’s house for their holiday gathering. However, it had snowed a little this morning, and had started to rain before it was time to go, so the roads were terrible and we turned back home.

So Charlotte and I started cutting out a new dress for her. She has a lovely red wool with a square pattern. We decided to do it with a keyhole neck, so checked my scrap drawer, and found the leftover orange twill from Ranghilds orange twill dress . The orange looked good with the red, so we went with that.

However, by the time we got the neckline sewn to the body rectangle ti was already 22:00, so we opted to put it down for the night and finish cutting fabric tomorrow.
