I finally heard back from the plumber with their estimates, and the price is in my budget. We are going to get two new toilets! So we will have 1 in the attic, one on the main floor, and one in the basement! I am so looking forward to this. Of course, it will take time (they won’t start till mid January), but still, I am very excited!
Work today included a nice and productive meeting with the researcher whose radiocarbon data I am mapping to our database structure, and I got enough information to write better descriptions of the column names on the web version of my documentation for mapping this dataset to SEAD.
Then there was a very long working meeting wherein my colleague walked us through his progress taking the theoretical mapping we as a group have done for another data set (archaeobotany data) into the programming that has to happen to gett the mapped data into the database. I tried to follow, but it wasn’t easy, and there was nothing I could do to contribute.
Therefore, I wasn’t surprised to need a long lunch, with a book, afterwards. But after not quite two hours recovery time I resumed work, happily updating the descriptions from this morning’s meeting, and then finally figuring out why the updates I was making weren’t showing on the web page (I was missing the deploy.yml file in my .github/workflows folder). Now that I have a working one of those, any chances I make in the Obsidian vault get pushed to GitHub, and then on to the web page, and I am pleased. (which is why I have provided the above link.)
Hopefully, this means I can also get this blog working.
