I slept from 22:00 last night till around 02:30 or perhaps 02:45 when Keldor came to bed. He said he wasn’t tired when we were (having had a nap), so he sat up watching TV after first I, and then Charlotte went to our beds. I snuggled up to him and he fell promptly asleep.
A few minutes later I was still awake, so I picked up my phone, discovered that it hadn’t been charging as I slept, and plugged it in properly, and then finished writing up yesterday, and, while at it writing up recipes I had mentioned. By the time I had done that it was already 03:55, and I was tired, so I went back to sleep till nearly 08:30.
Then breakfast and tidy up a little, make a fruit salad and a pot of soup before guests arrive
It was a lovely evening, with good company, plenty of food, games, and sewing project progress. In total we were: Charlotte, Keldor & I, Gilbert & his brother Tommy, Þórólfr, Odal, Broder Suk & his daughter
While working on my Silk bliaut short tunic I finally got the body far enough along to start attaching the sleeves, when I realised that my mistake in cutting it out (where I failed to take into consideration that the fabric has a very different colour on its right side than it has on the wrong), resulted in my winding up with two right sleeves. I managed to fix the problems body with the body with piecing, but working of if this is possible for the sleeves is more thinking than one wants during a party, so I set it asside to deal with later, and worked on Keldor copper trim tunic instead. I finished the seam in progress around midnight, and couldn’t do the next till I cut the next bit of lining, which one doesn’t do after midnight, so I was forced to put that project down, too.
However, very soon after midnight the guests started leaving, so I wished then a good evening, gave them hugs, and went to bed fairly promptly thereafter.
