Woke around 01:00 thinking of how to use SEAD Shape Shifter to do mapping of my LA-ICP-MS masters data. Jotted down notes so I wouldn’t forget, and tried to go back to sleep. Then remembered the replies in the Quartz Discord channel to my question about how to set things up to be able to publish my blog from my phone, and the one of them had mentioned having separate Obsidian vault and Quartz. So I asked a follow up question and then spent time copying the full conversation i to my blog fixing notes folder for easier looking things up later.

Then I got another almost three hours sleep before Keldor’s alarm went off. Since I am working from home today, I spent the morning phone call plus a few extra minutes mending one of my wool five-toe socks. I probably should buy some more. The cotton ones are also wearing out, and they are harder to mend.

Despite feeling tired, I made slow amd steady progress at work, managing to learn how to get SEAD Shape Shifter to give a unique list of the elements in the dataset and assign the correct element type numbers to each. Now that I am getting the hang of it I see how this will be a very useful tool.

I had planned to use my last hour of my work day to do a little more work putting up more of the fiberglass wall paper in the attic loo (calling it my friskvård hour for the week), but just before I went up, I paused to open the cupboard to get a handful of almonds to nibble on my way upstairs, and suddenly the glass mixing bowl, which had been inverted over the banana bowl to help the avacodos ripen from the banana fumes, suddenly lept off and shattered on the floor.

Dealing with that mess took until Keldor was home from work. Good thing I have plenty of glass mixing bowls! Buying good mixing bowls from second hand stores isn’t an addiction, I can stop whenever I want, and I sometimes psss them by. This was one of the pair of thick clear glass bowls with a good round shape perfectly sized to mix up a batch of quick bread.

When I woke my hip was feeling a little out of alignment, and sitting for work didn’t help, so by the time I got the glass cleaned up it was doing worse. No pain or discomfort in some positions, sharp flash of pain for other movements.

So my motivation for doing the wallpaper had kinda evaporated, so instead we played a fun game of Qwirkle wherein we both scored well, but I managed to do better. Then I did a little pliaties in hopes it would help the hip, took a shower, and went to bed early.
