Spring is certainly already here—when I got on the bus this morning, the entire front window upstairs was covered in a thick sheet of ice, from melting snow hitting the window and freezing again, as temps were just under freezing.

However, by the time we were in Umeå, and hour and a half later, the temps were above freezing, and the action of the windshield wipers had taken away all of the slush so I could see out the window again.

Work was good, with meetings that were productive. The final meeting of the day got out at 14:30, which is when my preferred bus normally is at the hospital, so I pulled out the phone to see if I might be able to catch it at the uni. Cancelled, said the app. Right, that means I have ab hour till the next bus. Why not head into town and accomplish one of those errands we didn’t get to do Saturday when the car’s get up and go got up and went?

So I caught the next bus to the city center and went to Clas Olsen, one of the shops that takes the gift card the uni gave us for our holiday bonus this year. My mission? One of those little GoPro cameras. Keldor wants me to film his fights at Crown, since we aren’t bringing my armour, and I don’t like the idea of holding my phone in my hands and looking at the screen, instead of at his fight. But mount a camera on my head, and it will film what I am looking at, which sunds much better. Perhas we can do a nice leather vicounty circlet to kinda hide the camera and hold it in place.

So when I looked on line this morning Class Olsen had one relatively inexpensive model, on sale for 2499 sek. I think my gift card is for 500 sek, so the remaining price, while not cheap, doesn’t feel too unreasonable for a tool that could let me do a kindness for my love, without inconveniencing myself in the process.

It took some effort to find the store in the mall—the gps is great for finding a building, but not so hot at navigation indoors, especially deciding what floor I should be on.

Eventually, I found it (just as I was feeling ready to gove up), and, to save time, I just asked at the customer service desk straight away, it being attended, but not busy. This was a good choice, as even when they are in stock, you have to ask at the desk anyway. They didn’t have any in stock today, but were willing to order me one. I could go on line and order one myself, to be delivered home, or he place the order, I could come back to the store when it arrives, and get to use the gift card. Thanks, let’s use the card. I can come back to town to save 500 kr on the purchase.

That took up all of my available time, so I ran part of the way to the Busstation, and just got there on time to get on board before it departed.

I had had Keldor in my hearing aids for the full in town adventure, so we kept chatting for most of the bus ride, too, and I just made more progress on my mending a sweater with nålbindning as we continued to chat.

He got home about 20 minutes before me, so spent a bit of time trying to dig through the snow berm at Bryan’s

Then we worked on what will be the new banner for Camp Northern Lights
