Today, the cats relaxed and took naps, After Anna & Jonas and their quiet dog, who had dropped by this morning, headed towards home. (The dog was so quiet that Kali actually nearly walked up to it. I think, given a longer visit, they have a chance to get on friendly terms.)
We, in contrast, were busy.
My accomplishments include mixing a new batch of Muesli, fixing the lid on one of the bentwood boxes, doing the paperwork for the shire’s income form yesterday’s sales of burgers and snacks at the Valborg celebration, setting up the geteld that we fixed in March to be certain that the new poles Keldor made for it are the right size (they are), and make note of the holes to be mended.
I also tried to make a modification to my Camping loo, a bit of foam in the wooden lid that will hold the ceramic lid of the chamber pot in place, but the lid was too thick, so I undid it, and decided to do without.
In The evening Þórólfr and Caspian came over snd Keldor helped Þórólfr get started on his banner, and I helped Caspian start a new pair of SCA trousers. The kid turns 14 next week, and has outgrown most of his garb. We cut the legs full width of fabric, so they can have a long hem that can be let out later.
Keldor made a new knife handel today, with a bit of dinosaur bone in it.
