There were 163 messages in my inbox that arrived in the 4 weeks I have been away for Double Wars and Strawberry Raid. I made a valiant attempt to clean out the inbox before the bus arrived in Umeå, but 1.5 hours wasn’t long enough, even given that many of the messages were simply delete-able (emails to university lists announcing activities that are now past, etc.).

Then I had my next exam for the SGNT study before heading to pick up my new campus ID card. That got me to fika time, so I joined some colleagues for pleasant conversation before returning to my office and getting the rest of my inbox cleaned out, replying to things that needed replies, and deleting everything I didn’t need.

That got me to time to head to fika with my colleagues from the library, where we enjoyed a lovely rolled cake filled with strawberries and cream. Yum!

I tried working on the bus home, but got so sleepy I wound up needing to take a short nap. On the walk home from the bus there were dandelions blooming, so I picked a bunch to make some Dandelion cookies, and asked Keldor to pick up some almond flour so I could bake the cookies.

As he drove home I cleaned off the things that wound up on the kitchen table after we got home on Tuesday (and which we didn’t have the time/energy to deal with yesterday), and then separated the dandelion petals from the green casing, getting that step done just as he got home, so I could start on the cookie dough directly.

After baking cookies we played a game of Qwirkle and then I went to the computer to see if I could accomplish a little SCA stuff. I managed to get the Reengarda transactions from while I was gone dealt with and properly recorded, but I ran out of brain before paying the most recent bills.
