Because tomorrow is Sweden’s national day but is also a Saturday, today is a work holiday for me, and the other technical support people working at the Uni. It was supposed to be a work day for people working at Keldor’s work place, but he woke with a digestive tract that hated him, so he took a sick day and went back to sleep.
While he slept I harvested nettles, washed them, and got them into the dehydrator. By which time I was sleepy, so I took a 1.5 hour nap, and we both got up to face the day around 11:00 (at which point he was feeling much better).
After a game of Qwirkle we took Bryan’s new robot lawnmower over to his house, found a good place for it to live and set it charging. Then we went up to the gas station to get fuel for our lawnmower, and noticed the the second had store was open (they are rarely open more than one weekend a month), so we stopped in, and wound up buying a swt od small metal clasps and a pair of hand-woven white with blue lines linen dish towels for only 159 kr. They remind me a little of the fancy blue and white ones that Lia wove but the patterns of the stripes are very different
Then we taught the lawnmower, which we realised is named Hugo, the boundaries if its yard, and let it begin struggling through grass that was a bit taller than it was designed for.
A bit later Keldor took pity on Hugo and brought our normal lawnmower over to clean out the taller grass.
I spent the evening packing for tomorrow, first the demo at the Nordanå foe Expo 26, and then the night train south to get my car.
