Morning train trips

I woke about a half an hour before we arrived in Stockholm, which gave me time to buy a ticket to Linköping, pack my pillows back into my backpack and generally get ready to go. Alas, the fast train with no changes departed about 10 minutes before we were due to arrive in Stockholm. The next option, an hour after we arrive, requires changing trains in Katrineholm, but was cheaper than the no-changes fast tran heaper than the no-changes fast train that departs another hour later, so I booked it.

That gave me time to do a 30 minutes standing stretches yoga session at the station before heading to the platform. I thought about working on the train, but I started with updating this, and then there was only 40 minutes remaining before we should arrive, so I don’t know if I will accomplish anything. I should, as tomorrow is a work day, and I suspect I will still be travelling…

I did manage to empty my work in box during that time, changed trains, then had enough time in Linköping to do some yoga with pilates before catching the train to Motala, where Rebeccah and Petter picked me up.

social time and adventures

We went back to their place in Vadstena, made lunch, and then went in to town to look at the new exhibition on Female authors of the Middle Ages at the Cloister Museum. Of course, one of the featured authors is Vadstena’s own St. Briggita.

Road trip

After the museum I took a 10 minute nap, repacked my car a little to improve accessibility to the bed and put snacks in reach and started driving.

Stop one was a Biltema in Motala, as we had taken the usb plugs from my car to use in Keldor’s when we abandoned mine to be fixed after Double Wars.

I had thought to visit Holmfrid in the Örebro area as my next stop, till I checked the map, and saw that they are far enough the wrong direction from Örebro that the detour would have added two full hours to the trip, not counting time to hang out. So I decided to save that adventure for another day, and instead went to Agnes apartment in Skultuna to pick up the dinosaur stencils she is getting rid of that Keldor wants, arriving at 18:47.

We hung out and chatted over tea for a bit, and I fed her some of my Dandelion cookies. Then I contibuted to her get ready to move to the house she recently bought, by washing a load of dishes, thereby freeing up that bit of energy for packing

I got back on the road about 20:00, and reached Gävle around 21:40, where I bought a couple of bottles of Vitamin Well Awake and a bag of chrunchy cheetoes to keep me awake while driving. I added some of the Well Awake to my water bottle, and, despite not being hungry, nibbled on the Cheetoes to try to keep energy levels up.

I reached Tönnebro at 22:30, took a 1.5 hour nap, went to the loo, and went back to sleep for another 1.5 hours.
