We park on the grass in front of the house, and so, slowly, a little each year, we ar moving the concrete slabs that the first owner of the had used as walkways between garden beds to fill in the areas that become mud when we drive on them. There had also been curbstones around garden beds, these are being moved to directly adjecent to the house itself, to keep plants from growing too close to the house. Both tasks are recorded below.

- I dug up the broken slab that had been used to create a gentle curve towards where we drove on the grass two years ago, before the city re-did the asphalt on our street (and added curbstones along the edge of the street, complete with a lower bit for our driveway access), and replaced it with a whole slab to make the paved part wider, as this year’s tire marks are a bit to the left compared to last year’s. Then I extended the path by one more slab, rotated by 90 degrees compared to the one I replaced, to make the paved part wider yet.

- grävde upp fler rötter och ställde på plats en till kantstein. Tyvärr, gick sönder handtaget av spaden, så kan inte göra det sista tills vi hitta en ny handtag

- Two more curbstones against the east side of the house, and many roots temoved, some very large and interlaced

- Dug away the last of the bushes from the front left of the house
- took away more bushes, and put more of the small curb stones from the front of the house along the east wall of the house, now it is lined with curb stones all the way to the second window, and two more are stacked nearby, ready to be added as soon as more bushes are removed.
- started dinging up the curb stones from the back of the house, and learned they are much bigger than the ones in front, so it doesn’t work to put them on the same wall as the others. Decided to put them against the north wall of the house instead.

- stacked some of the paving stones by the Catio to be used for the driveway.
- put the dirt removed to make room for curbstones into the hole from removing the big curbstone, and into random low spots in the yard

- 1 timme move all pavingstone from stack by house to possible locations to uncover the broken ones in the bottom of the stack and decide how best to use them to make the entrance wider. Then re-stack everything out of the way, broken ones accessible this time.
