Today I worked in the morning, and even kept working for a while after the electrician arrived and started working in the basement, but after lunch I wound up finally putting back together the wall we ripped out of the closet back in January, and then got the shelves back into place. This all took way more time and effort than that simple sentence implies.
Meanwhile the electrician has added a light switch to the bottom of the stairs (no more will Keldor have to blindly climb the stairs in the dark because…someone… turned off the light after climbing the stairs), has run electricity to the new bathroom, has cleaned up the very temporary connection of electricity to the attic from a hole in the ceiling to a plug in the laundry room, and now we have very professional looking wires running along the wall/roof junction to bring the attic wiring to its very own set of fuses. Tomorrow the plan is to replace the 1950’s twist light switch in the bedroom with a modern switch and an outlet, and run electricity and an outlet over to next to the bed for guest phone charging.
