Today we went out to the smithy at Vallen, to be part of the entertainment at Barnens Dag (Children’s Day).
This year we both worked in the smithy, as I had some old meat hooks that I have been using for years to hang stuff in the pavilion that I wanted to modify to something prettier and less stabby points. I was happy with the result.

After we finished up in Vallen we drove out to Gräsmyr to pick up a treadle leather sewing machine that a childhood playmate of Keldor gave us.
On the way there we stopped at Biltema in Umeå and bought a few boxes of screws for renovation projects, and at the import food store not far from there, to get bulk nuts, seeds, and raisins, a piece of baklava for the road, and a package of ramen with a picture of a duck breathing flames for Keldor. On the way home we stopped at the big ICA to stock up on things like canned beans and tomatoes, cheese and yoghurt.
