Having stayed up to put things away last night, I got only six hours of sleep. Given that I needed to head to the office this morning, and wouldn’t be able to unpack while Keldor drove to work, this was probably worth it in terms of a clean, liveable home environment (especially as the housekeeper came while we were gone).

However, it wasn’t till I was on the bus that I realised that I had forgotten one important Sunday evening chore: refill my vitamin box. So I didn’t get to take my morning vitamin on the bus as usual. Oops. I tried calling them before the bus arrived, but they weren’t yet answering.

A bit later in the morning they called back, and said I could come pick up another bottle, so I did, and swang by the store while I was out and bought a salad for lunch.

Begore I got the csll to pick up vitamins, I got bad news from V, a friend in the states, who had wound up in the emergency room twice this weekend, and then got news of the unexpected death of one of their closest friends and collaborators. So I was glad of the excuse for the walk, as one doesn’t really want to work thinking of such things.

After I got back I sent V. some money via PayPal, saying “thinking of you”, and hiping it will help ease some day to day matters while figuring out the new shape of life after this loss. V. replied with thanks, saying that it arrived just as they had been stressing about needing to order some stuff. I am glad I could help, and wished I could do more.

After lunch I had a couple of meetings, booked travel to Uppsala in October for a workshop, and caught the bus to head home. Today’s bus ride wasn’t long enough to empty my inbox, which is usually unusual, but par for the course for the first week of the university term after summer.

Keldor beat me home, for a change, so he drove up, met me at the store, we bought some salad makings and cat treats, and went home.

I was tired, and didn’t wanna, but I midded up the salad directly, filling four ready to grab and go boxes to take to work.

Then it was just relax on the couch scrolling for a bit, as Keldor slept through a recent Merry Poppins movie. Well before it ended I decided I would rather head to bed, so I did yoga, emptied cat sand, and did some pell practice. By then his movie had ended, and we were in bed before 19:10. I xonfirm that staying up late all weekend plus a 10 hour road trip makes one need more sleep on Monday evening.
