- at DoubleWars Market 2026 one of the Finnish merchants had the exact shade of red yarn (which someone else had sent with them) I had orginally used for this project, so I bought all five skeins, for only €1 each. I had originally only stitched the part that will be sleeve trim to the same repeat of the fabric as the shortest bit can be (the neckline is wider at the shoulders than around the neck slit, so a couple of repeats of the pattern more are possible in the first row of the arm than the second), but now that I have the right colour again, I decided to start with taking that bit as far up the fabric as it will go.
- on 2026-05-24 I started picking out the wrong colour red and adding the correct colour. This will take time, but, If it worth doing, it is worth doing over again correctly.
notes from trello
started 2017-08-09 Date added to drawer: 2020-02-16 (in a small white cloth bag) The plan is to make the body of the trello_iconsoft fine blue Visby twill (exotiskt) with embroidered and beaded neck and long sleeves Needs: • more embroidery floss. I appear to have lost it all :-( I had bought it from M. In Finland, and at the first Double Wars after the plague she had some trello_iconRed natural dyed wool that she thinks is similar. • on 2020-05-08 I ordered 5 skeins of the wine red(53) Wool yarn for sewing/tablet weaving/embroidery from Linda Öhman’s Handcrafted History page, in hopes that it is the correct yarn (It wasn’t, see comments below for link to the yarn) This is the same weave as trello_iconEmma’s green 3 on one twill dress, remade to fit me I bought the fabric years ago at Medieval Week in Visby from: https://www.handelsgillet.se/produkt-kategori/historiska-tyger/ull/tunn-2/lodoserutan/ Lödöserutan® är ett tunt ylletyg i kamgarnsull som är gjord efter ett makalöst fynd i Lödöse, daterat till 1220-1240 (Inv nr AI 953). Vidd: 150 cm Vikt: 260g/m 100% ull
