• that the remaining rectangle of fabric marked “to be determined” is exactly long enough to extend the sleeves all the way to his wrist, with a double band of trim, once over each seam
• the front left and right pieces are wide enough to cut off an underarm gusset. Either by removing an entire strip from each side, then sew that strip back in, and up the underarm, or (and this is less sewing), just cut as deep as the join with the sleeve, trim that to a point under the arm.
then I started a bit of embroidery on the first sleeve
• 2025-12-22, morning I clearly worked on this between july and now, as one sleeve has the trim attaced already. Trimed the cuff fabric for the secon seam and attached it, ready to put the trim over the sleeve
• 2025-07-19 started assembly of the second seam
• 2025-05-22 at Rebecca’s. decided that it will work to make long sleeves, one each sleeve shaped trapezoid, then the long triangles that had been cut off the main body bits, one wide end to add cuffs covered by trim. two triangles to widen the arms to a better width. see photo of sketch. it will be necessary to add a gore in back between the sleeve and the shoulder, but not the front.
