2026-08-08

I made a bent branch frame and attached the project, then tried to figure out what I had been doing with the project.

next attempt, at JMB, Plan B.
Spent the day trying to remember how it goes. I am working with pairs of strings in the same colour, which makes it easy to keep track and find and fix mistakes. Decided to do just the start with the bottom three on the right flip the outer most in and under, then alternate to the other side.

Start again working on the belt of the Finnish natural dyed wool. (Only other log entry for progress on this project was 2018-03-30. I only remember working on it at events.

the set up

24 loops:
Two red
Four blue
Four purple A
Four blue
Four purple B
Four blue
Two red

First do one pass straight up-down-up-down etc. then do same technique as at Cudgel War—bring right three from back to the front, but exchange outer two and push what had been outer edge back over its neighbour and to the back again. Then alternate threads putting front behind and vice versa. when there are only three front left push the first behind and cross the next over the final and to the back.
