Keldor had recieved the new alternator for his car yesterday, so he made certain the battery was fully charged and drove his car in, thinking to replace the alternator after work
As Keldor drove to work I got the berries I picked last night into the dehydrator, and was ready to start my work day soon after he arrived.
Not three hours later he let me know he’d already fixed the car!
After work I bought a book The Elements of Marie Curie, and read till 20:00 as Keldor changed the batteries in the car and mowed some grass. So now the original battery from my car, that we had taken out after it went flat getting to Vadstena 2026-05-16 on battery alone and replaced with the “emergency” battery we bought that day, has been returned to my car, and the “emergency” battery, which is a better battery than the one Keldor’s car came with, is now in his car.
After I pit my book down, I rescued the dried berries, then met Gilbert on line for yoga and training.
Then I exchanged another emsil with Carol James, who may be visiting in November, and if so, will do a sprang workshop. She had asked what we’d be interested in, and I said “tights!” She replied:
If you’re serious about sprang leggings … then … while they can be made as single-layer cloth, I strongly suspect that double-layered cloth is a very good idea, have used the double-layered cloth technique for all my sprang leggings.
What I did is that I began at the ankle with single layered cloth. When I got to mid-thigh height, I added another layer of warp, a supplementary warp, and began creating two-layered cloth. The two-layered cloth has a pattern, the threads squeezing between to change layers, the cloth naturally sits wider … covering more real estate.
You might want to be familiar, actually very comfortable with, creating double-layered sprang cloth before trying leggings.
I’ve taught a class on double-layered interlinking. It’s now part of the sprang video library available on my website.
So I went to her page, subscribed to the video library, and started watchingthrough them in order. The first couple of intro ones are review of what I learned years ago, but her tricks of using beads on the edge strings to keep track of if it is time for a plain or a braided row is brilliant, and her saftey strings instead of sticks looks easier.
I made it through to
