Having had more than eight hours of sleep, I woke before the alarm. It was very nice to feel like I had had enough sleep, for a change. Keldor went to work today, and I decided to head to the office as well. Now that Mattias is back working with us he sent a note yesterday asking if we can meet up sometime, so I went in to the office on the off chance that today works.

It did, we had a good meeting, and I caught the 14:30 bus home. Keldor arrived home at the same time I did, and we immediately bustled into action.

We replaced the old florescent light in the entryway with a modern low profile, much brighter, round led ceiling lamp. Then we took the old florescent light, and the few other things that had been collecting in the electronic scrap box, to the dump.

When we got back from that errand he went to the cellar to start planing wood to make the next bit of the door frame in the attic (the bit that sticks out that the door pressrs against, so there won’t be a draft, is there a word for that?), and I went upstairs to spackle more of the plywood walls.

His job went faster, and he had installed that part of the door frame and went back downstairs before I gave up for the night. There is still a bit of celing that needs doing, but I was weari f my normal glassses, which have progressive lenses. These are terrible for working over your head.

If I was smart, I would have used my computer glasses, which would have been better. But I didn’t. Oops.

Shortly after I came downstairs my friend Stephanie anded if it would be a good time for a call. It was, and we had a lovely chat, till yoga time, when we switched to zoom and Gilbert joined us.

I stayed up talking rather later than I should have on a work night, but it was a good time, so no regrets.
