Despite having gotten to bed by midnight, I had trouble getting up in the morning. I woke several times, ranging from super early, through early, to “really ought to get up”, but each time I would think about getting up, perhaps do some yoga, or get a shower, or something, yet I fell back to sleep each time.
I finally got up just on time to attend Erik Hane’s class on kydex armour, where we adjusted the fitting of the legs Keldor had ordered for me. It rained lightly then, but didn’t seem very cold. However, as the day progressed, the rain and cold both intensified. To further complicate the morning, there was no running water in camp for a few hours this morning.
I spent some time in camp at the fire being socialbe, and some time in the hall sewing and being socialbe, plus attending choir practice, so I managed to finish both Erin’s skirt hem, and Felicitas’ hose lasing points.
Choir was fun. We started with drinking songs that are rounds, so everyone singing the same melody. When we switched to parts, the first song was Gaudete, which song I have known the melody of forever, but I couldn’t remember the alto line (I know we sung it in the Student Choir Aurora, where they put me with the altos). When Natfari demonstrated all of the parts I, and one other, decided to go join the tennors, as their part sounded easier. Besides (insert name) from Germany was with the tennors to help them (but could have sung with any of the voices), and is super easy to follow.
After choir I helped carry out the animals for Thursday’s 3D archery shoot, followed by taking a sheepskin and the hot water botthes up to the hall intending to do a quick yoga, fill the bottles and leave them in bed and then head up to soak in the hotbtub for the first time this event.
Instead, my phone struggled to download a yoga session. I eventually managed to get an 8 minutes session, and then, since Aud and Tyra had joined me for it, did even more yoga and conversation, followed by an impromptu dance session with them. Then I finally got to the part about putting the hot water bottles into bed, and the bed looked so inviting I returned to the hall to let Aud know I was skipping the hottub in favour of sleep. I also stopped by the gaming party at Sven and Siobhan’s to say goodnight to Keldor before laying down and typing up the last of the day
