I often do quick single servings of soups or flavoured porridge by using spoonfuls of various dried/ powdered plants to make the broth. It finally occurred to me that I could mix a large batch and keep it in a jar, and then just grab one spoonful when I want some.
Here is what I put in the jar on my first attempt: 2026-02-21 a Saturday at home
1 T mushroom powder 3 T dried kale 3 T almond meal 1 ml Norrlandsbär powder 0.5 t rosehip powder 1 t nutritional yeast 5 twists Roasted garlic pepper 3 twist chili 2 shakes nettle powder 2 shakes onion powder 2 shakes garlic powder 1 shake Aromat flavoured salt blend 1 shake curry powder 1 shake coriander powder 1 shake powdered ginger
I filled the jar one layer at a time, scooping that much of each of the above in at once, stir, then repeat with the next layer. In this way the mixture is reasonably homogeneous. For flavour in a water-based porridge I like two tablespoons of the powder, which, since it contains almond meal, means that one effectively used almond milk to cook the porridge. If using milk or yoghurt in the porridge than one tablespoon of powder is enough. One spoonful is also fine to make a single serving of an egg-drop soup.
