Keldor and I helped Holmfrid design and make a pauldron on which the dragon (purchased 2026-07-04 main day Storuman Renaissance Fair) could ride.
We chose a thick leather (elk or moose hide?) with a bit of a texture to it, that is reminiscent of dragon hide, and dyed it blue (which, given the texture, wasn’t easy, and took more dye than I had anticipated)
While both Holmfrid and I had thought of a small, subtle, saddle, Keldor suggested full-on armour pauldrons, and somehow that is what happened, and the result is really cool. The dragon really is super cute. Look at those toe-beans!
