Since I had gone to bed fairly early, folk were still up, and singing, when I had to get up and head to the toilet at ~01:30. I really wanted to join them, but I was much too sleepy to go get hearing aids and glasses, so I just went back to bed, and slept till Keldor had to get up for work, at 06:00.

I walked him up to his car, and then moved mine to the parking lot on the far side of the church we are allowed to use. Then I had time for my morning yoga before walking up the hill for breakfast.

After breakfast I found a stump in the wood pile to put my stoncarving trough on, since the one I took to Storuman last weekend never made it back to the car, but rather was helpfully put with the other stumps on site next to the building.

I spent the day trying to carve a little on my soapstone cooking pot, but instead talking to visitors about what i was doing, and how, if one only carved at such festivals, it takes years to finish the pot, but in contrast, I know a guy in France that can make one in a couple of weeks.

My apprentice Astrid, current Norrskensbard came to the event ut wss a delight to see her. She opted ro join the Medieval Mass that they held in the large barn. The priest doing the mass has had so much fun researching how Mass wss done back then. He let Astrid perform the 12th Century hymn that she’d learned for her period piece at the Norrskensbard contest as part of the ceremony.

If I had known she was going to do that, I might have listened in, but no religious ceremony sounds like something I want to see.

The bardic this evening lasted several hours, and gave me the energy that my day nor really stone carving had taken. I love singing!
