Caught up in the morning on Shire financial paperwork this morning. Everything is paid, save for the two big bills for performers during Medeltidsdagar, which we can’t pay till the city pays us.

In the afternoon we dropped off my car at the workshop for it appointment Monday to figure out what is wrong with it, over and above the known issue with the power steering, so that they can fix it.

I spent a chunk of time reading, and Keldor finished the shelf in the laundry room I have been wanting.

In the evening I got distracted by finally making a note for My first bliaut, and, in the process, trying to track down a better photo of Chartres Cathedral statue LP.LI than I had photocopied from a book in 2007. It turns out that book, Sculptors of the west portals of Chartres Cathedral : their origins in Romanesque and their role in Chartrain sculpture : including The west portals of Saint-Denis and Chartres, Harvard, 1952 is available online, and the statue whose neckline embroidery I copied for my bliaut is on the right side of figure nine on page 124 of the paper book, or 144/275 of the scanned version, which made it possible to find an online version of the image, which I have also saved a copy of (as yesterday the image wouldn’t open, and thus I don’t know if the link will break again tomorrow).
