I woke up to a notification that I have a letter from “Valmyndigheten” (the Swedish Election Authority), so I logged into Kirva, and had a look. For the first time my voter card has been sent to my digitial mailbox instead of as a piece of paper, and it is marked “available off line”, with the comment that one doesn’t need to be logged in to be able to access it. (Though I am unclear how that would work, as one can’t open the app without logging in with one’s personal bank id.) Interestingly, there are also copies of all of the letters they have sent me since 2019 (a letter explaining I have voting right in the EU election that year and how to vote), plus letters with information on the elections of 2022 and 2024. Having worked at both of those, and being scheduled to work this years, I already know the information contained in each of these letters (as I pay attention to the mandatory course work we do before each election), but I appreciate the level of effort someone went to to gather the information and present it so clearly, and that I have this digital mailbox, where I can go back and review even the old letters (up to a certain age.) I know some people don’t care for it, but I love living in the future.
After breakfast I resumed work on my New winter coat, and determined that T didn’t have enough of the Maroon silk curtains to line the full coat. So I contacted Viryia, who had two more in the same colour, so we went to town, bought them, bought a few needed things from the store, and came home.
After making salad from the vegetables, I resumed work on my New winter coat. Once the pieces were cut and stacked neatly in a basket, I was tired, so did an early yoga, then tided up a little, as the housekeeper comes tomorrow, and made it to bed around 21:00.
