I managed to get to bed before midnight last night, which, given the bus didn’t get to Lövånger till 23:09, and it was a 13 minute walk home, and I took time to take a shower before bed to help keep my muscles from hurting after dacning, feels like a good accomplishment.
This make it possible to get up with Keldor and go out with him to say goodbye when he left (as we do daily). My reward this time was a nice view of the moon and planets over the house:

I then got everything ready to catch my usual 06:20 bus, but decided that my hips would appreciate a little pilates before getting on the bus, so after our morning phone call I did a 25 minute session and then took the 07:00 instead. My meeting isn’t till 10:00, so it should be fine to arrive 08:40 instead of 08:00.
Typing more, hours later…
As it turned out, it was fine to catch that bus, and I had no problems doing the pilates and getting to the bus stop on time. However…
After I had been on the bus for a while, I was suddenly super sleepy, so I looked at when we would arrive and set my alarm for 7 minutes before, so I would have time to wake and put my sweater and sandels on, and then curled up on the seat to sleep. I woke as we turned into the main long distance bus station in the city center. Oops. Checked to see why I didn’t hear my alarm, and my phone said that the alarm would ring in six more minutes. So, clearly, I was too tired to do the calculations for setting the alarm correctly, as I do not believe that we arrived more than 14 minutes early. So I quickly put on my glasses, hearing aids, sandels, and grabbed my backpack and sewing bag (I had used the bag of sewing as a pillow), and got off the bus, pausing at a bench to set down the pack and put the sewing inside.
Then I went out the door, pulling on my buff as I walked, and was surprised to not feel a hearing aid in my right ear, so I hurried back in, and got back on the bus to check the floor and seat there. No hearing aids there. Then I went in and looked, and found the hearing aid and its inside the ear piece, both on the floor near where I had repacked my backpack, but the two pieces were no longer attached to one another, which explains why they fell off. (I must not have set it correctly into my ear as I frantically shoved them on before leaving the bus.)
I put them back together, and put them on, properly, and they worked. I called Keldor and hung out with him as I walked over to the local traffic bus station, arriving just as one that goes to the uni was about to depart, and he kept me company right up to my arrival at work, just after 09:00.
My 10:00 meeting ended early enough to catch the 11:30 bus home, and this time, when I got tired, I was more careful about setting my alarm to go off before we would arrive, and then woke about 10 minutes before that, so I had time to eat, relax and catch up on social media before the bus arrived.
I had intended work more after I got home, but instead I started doing useful things, including cutting the lining for the sleeves on my New winter coat, so that I can start sewing them to the rest of the pieces, putting away clean dishes, roasting some pumpkin and broccoli, and cooking a quick sauce from ground almonds, dairy milk powder, and water, which I boiled till it started thickening. It was really good over the blueberry smulpaj that I made on Monday.
Just as I was finishing the dishes Keldor called. He was nearly home from work, and suggested that we carry up stairs to the cold storage part of the attic the set of shelves he had obtained, but to make room for them, how about moving the long low set of cabinets that came with the house over to the the smaller cold storage room on the side of room we have insulated?
That sounded like a brilliant idea, so I promptly started cleaning up sawdust from the floor in the attic, to make the re-arranging easier, and the floor less slippery, as he put in the last couple of plywood boards down over sawdust in the small cold storage room, so there would be a floor to put stuff on. We covered that floor with old rugs that came with the house, and then emptied the cabinets and moved them. This gave us enough room to rotate by 90° the portable closet pole set up on which we store extra winter coats, old gambesons, and the like. This makes it much easier to get to the outlet on that wall. After Keldor helped with all of the heavy lifting and moving of stuff, he went downstairs to rest, and I filled the shelves and cabinets, and generally tidied up both cold storage areas.
Now we can easily get to everything, and it is much better! It had been very full and cluttered ever since we started the Create an attic bedroom project in January, as step one had been to move everything stored in the half of the attic over to the other half, and then more stuff got moved upstairs sometime thereafter, till it was feeling rather over crowed up there. In the process of cleaning today, I even made a pile of things that came with the house that we still hadn’t gotten rid of, that we will get rid of sometime after we get back from Finland.
After all that accomplishment in the attic, my encore was to fold and put away the clean laundry from the cellar, before turning on the computer to join Gilbert for yoga. This was the first zoom yoga session since the new conference microphone I ordered arrived, and he reports that the sound is much better. However, when sharing the sound from the yoga app, that still takes over so we are hard to hear. That, and zoom was having issues staying connected, and re-started several times. Since he wan’t following the yoga app, but just doing his own training, we didn’t bother re-sharing the sound, which meant that Keldor and Gilbert could speak with one another, but I often had problems hearing them, as the yoga was playing in my hearing aids, and if they happened to talk at the same time as the voice in my head, I couldn’t hear them.
